Garrett and Katelyn thought it would be fun to wash the dog a couple of weeks ago but I'm not sure Brego thought it was such a great idea! Brego is one of our guard dogs and he works hard every night keeping strangers and street dogs off the property, of course the fence helps! Here in Mexico you either live in a gated area with a guard on duty, with a 10 foot wall around your property, guard dogs or if your in the city behind a wall where no one can see in. It took some getting use to it when we first moved here but now it has just became a way of life. Alot has to do with the amount of poverty we have here and some locals don't think anything of it to take a thing or two on your property if it's left unguarded. The mentality is quite different from that in America, as a matter of fact a missionary friend of mine told me that her son who lived in Mexico for most of his life felt very exposed when they moved back to the States. He thought it was unsafe that the yards were open and no wall surrounding the home!
